Okay, these had to be two of the CUTEST little boys ever. They weren’t TOO fond of my camera. But I was able to snap some great shots… it helps to put kids on the playground so they’re having fun and still looking your way (sorta) ;)

Karen & Alyssa.

May 11th, 2012

I did Alyssa’s senior photos back in November (I can NOT believe it’s been 6 months) and when she contacted me to do a mini session with her and her mom, of course I said yes. These two are hilarious together… I’m pretty sure I giggled the whole time.

And my personal favorite… Frolicking!

Madison.

Holy cow… can I just say how AWESOME Madison is in front of the camera? She’s participating in National American Miss and needed photos for the photogenic contest. And in my mind… how could she not win?! Her mom grabbed some balloons for the shoot and I’m so glad she did… I think it was the perfect finishing touch…

Tuesday Night Project

April 25th, 2012

I just have to say… darn Pinterest for always putting ideas into my head! So many DIY crafts and decorations… I got the itch to make something myself. SO, when I saw these letters on sale at Craft Warehouse, I had to glitter them up (because really, glitter makes everything better). After having the letters sitting around for 2 months without doing anything to them, I finally went and bought all the stuff that I needed (do you know how expensive craft stuff can be?! geez!).

I ended up with some Mod Podge, 2 things of glitter, some glitter sealer, paint, and a little brush.

Plain letters, nothin to um…

Little “helper” ;)

I painted a layer of gold paint…

And because I’m forgetful… a picture in this place would show brushing on the Mod Podge. So just pretend that’s here.

Then, after the Mod Podge, I dumped on the glitter… really, dumped. (and had to move inside for this due to wind outside, that would have been a mess)

After letting it sit for quite a while, I went back outside and dumped the glitter off. Making sure it was all off, I sprayed a layer of Glitter Blast all over the letter.

Aaaand, once that dried, I hung them up! and Voila!

I realized two things while making these… I really am not a crafty person (you should see the sides of the letters, Mod Podge everywhere!), and glitter gets everywhere and sticks to everything. But, it’s so much fun!! Already planning out other things I can glitter…..
