{Elise | SENIOR 2013}

March 17th, 2013

Elise’s first shoot was back on September 1st (yes people, I am THAT behind on blogging… shhhh). She asked me to do photos of her and her boyfriend with her horse. HOW could I say no? It was sunset. She had her prom dress… everything added up to perfection. I seriously died over these images for months after the shoot.

The second half of her shoot was at the end of September. We decided to go for more “urban” and hit up some of my favorite little spots around town. I love the feeling both shoots give… they are so completely different!

{Maya | SENIOR 2013}

December 6th, 2012

Maya is my youngest sisters good friend. I was SO excited when she asked me to do her pictures. She is so fun and full of life! We trekked through Glen Otto Park… walking wayyyy out through a bunch of trees to get down the river farther. It was definitely an adventure and SO worth it. We are planning on doing more pictures of her sometime this month out at her house, so watch for those! Should be more amazingness. ;)

Floral dress from Free People. tan boots from Target.

“I have no special talent. I am only passionately curious.” – Albert Einstein
Passion and love should be put into everything you do. We are meant to explore, learn and love. I strive to find the good in every situation and want to make a positive impact on the world.

White and pink floral shirt from Crossroads made by American Apparel. Shorts from American Eagle. Sandals from Levi’s.

I plan to go to college, hopefully Seattle Pacific University, and find out whatever crazy plans God has for me. I have so many interest and passions and I know I will be learning and exploring for the rest of my life. I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me.

I’m a crazy athlete and love running and hiking. I am always doing something different. I’m creative and enthusiastic, and a little bit crazy. I enjoy a few lazy days here and there but am always out and about doing whatever comes to mind. Riding horses, playing soccer, baking, playing music, singing, you name it.

On her shoot: The session was amazing! I felt so relaxed and comfortable. There was the perfect amount of advice given on poses and what not and enough room for my own creative twist for the photos. You knew how to capture any moment and perfectly captured my personality. Such a memorable and fun time!

On high school: Remember that there is a bigger picture and world than high school. High school helps set up the playing ground for the rest of our lives. It’s the preparation field for bigger and better things. Be passionate, bold, and aim high. Aim to make a difference in the world. It’s possible even in the little things. Always remember to love, in whatever you do, whoever you meet and anything that comes your way.

{Katlyn | SENIOR 2013}

December 5th, 2012

I loved Katlyn’s shoot! It was another from the end of September. And it was one of the first shoots I did at another new favorite location. Her outfits were awesome… The weather was perfect. love love love!

Cheetah shirt and purple pants are both from Forever 21 and the shoes are from American Eagle.

Flower shirt from Fred Meyer, cardigan from Fred Meyer and skirt from Forever 21.

I want to go to Mt. Hood Community College for either teaching or hospitality and then continue on to a four year university.

Teal dress and Jean Jacket are both from Old Navy.

Play softball on a tournament team in Vancouver and have been playing ever since I was four years old. I like going to coffee with my friends and having a good time.

Cheetah skirt from Wet Seal and red cardigan from Old Navy.

On her shoot: My session was a lot of fun and you made all the nerves go away. Everything came natural and I didn’t feel like I had to work to make everything look good. Just felt like I was out having fun with my friends and taking pictures.

High low skirt from Charlette Russe, Jacket from Forever 21.

I wouldn’t change anything about my high school experience. You lose friends, but the true ones will stay with you until the end.

{Rachel | SENIOR 2013}

December 4th, 2012

Rachels shoot was at one of my favorite new locations… Blue Lake Park! It was back in the middle of September (I still can’t believe it’s December already!)… and from what I remember, it was pretty warm for her shoot! We just took it easy and walked around… got some with her water polo ball and her flute…

“The purple dress is one I probably don’t wear enough. I got it at Ross for $20 (can you believe it?) for my 8th grade graduation and then wore it again for freshman year homecoming.”

On her shoot: I was really surprised actually. I normally hate having my picture taken and never like my pictures, but I actually had a lot of fun and was super relaxed.

“And yet, to say the truth, reason and love keep little company together nowadays”
~A Midsummer Night’s Dream

This is probably one of my favorite quotes because I love the kind of subtle truth of it. We do things for the people we love, even if it’s not logical or rational. People are irrational but it doesn’t matter because while we’re being irrational for those we care about we have people who are just as irrational because they care about us.

“The Wicked jacket I love so much because I got it when I was in London 2 summers back. I was touring Europe through an Ambassadors of music program and I got it at the Apollo Victoria theatre when we saw Wicked.”

I’m not really sure what I’m going to do after High school. I know I’ll go to college but honestly I don’t know where or for what. I’d love to do something in the journalism field some day. But other than that I really don’t know.

I have the best friends in the world and an amazing boyfriend. I’m a water polo player and a band geek and of course I’m a total nerd. I love Harry Potter and Dr. Who, I read tons of books and I actually really like school. I’m in Outdoor School and think Outdoor school is one of the most amazing things. Whether you’re a sixth grader or a high school student it’s an amazing opportunity. I’m usually pretty busy but always find time for everything some how.

On high school: If I could talk to myself as a freshman I’d say taking honors and AP classes is a really good thing but don’t forget to take a class or two just because you think it might be fun. There are tons of classes I wish I could have taken. And like everyone ever has told freshmen: BE ORGANIZED! Those dumb planners you get every school year, they’re your best friend if you use them well. Work hard so you can have fun because high school can be some of the best times if you manage your time and do thing YOU want to do.

{Sandonna | SENIOR 2013}

December 3rd, 2012

So, I’m playing catch up on blogging. and I’m not even sure any of them will be in order. I have so much to post and so many images to get on here… and I’m SO excited for you to see them! I’m starting with Sandonna. Her shoot was back at the end of September. She was SO great in front of the camera. She understood what I told her and could really pull off any pose. Seriously, rockstar! ;) So finally, here is her blog feature!

Brown Flowered Tank Top from Gen-X. Skinny Jeans from Old Navy. Tan Boots from Nordstrom Rack.

“Control yourself, take only what you need from it. A family of trees wanting to be haunted..” Kids, by MGMT
-This has been a motto for the longest time for me. It helps me get a hold of myself and brings my perspective on life back to me. Not to mention it’s from one of the best bands EVER!

Thin Black long sleeve from Wet Seal. Skinny Jeans from Kohls. Tan Boots from Nordstrom Rack.

I plan to go to Mt. Hood Community College while continuing my job as a waitress. Later on in my life, I plan to be a Pediatricians Medical Assistant. I love working with children of all ages.

An obsession of mine, some would call me a fanatic, is the magnificent and wonderful Doctor Who. :) I’ve been watching/reading/etc. him for many years now. I’ve yet to own all the seasons on DVD, but I will soon! Reading and shopping are some other hobbies as well.

Dress from Target. Earrings from my grandmother. :)

On her shoot: At first I was a bit awkward because I didn’t know anything really about Hannah. I was also nervous because I didn’t know what to do really. But after the first few pictures, I felt good! She made me smile and laugh and even related to me. I liked that she was helpful in giving me some direction with poses.

On high school: Do not think that you can goof off during your freshman year. That’s what I thought, that it was just a total joke, and I ended up failing and having to take credit recovery for it. Stay on task, show up for class, and use a planner/organizer constantly. It helps the procrastinator and keeps your mind focused.

White Shirt from Sears. Jeans from Kohls. Necklace from cousin.
